WELCOME TO THE JOINT CONSULTATION FOR
EU Programme for Cross Border Territorial Co-operation (INTERREG IV) 2007 – 2013 for Northern Ireland , the border region of Ireland and western Scotland.
EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation (PEACE III) 2007 – 2013 for Northern Ireland and the border region of Ireland.
The purpose of this consultation is to invite comment on the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Environmental Reports for the above European Union Structural Funds Programmes. This consultation for both Programmes opens on Friday 8th June 2007 and ends on Friday 6th July 2007 .
The SEAs are being carried out in accordance with the requirements of the SEA Directive (2001/42/EC), the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2004, the Environmental Assessment Act (Scotland) 2005, the European Communities ( Environmental Assessment of Certain Plans and Programmes) Regulations 2004 and Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 in Ireland.
The SEA Environmental Reports have been produced following full consultation with the statutory bodies within the eligible areas of both Programmes:-
Environment and Heritage Service (NI)
Environmental Protection Agency (ROI)
Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government (ROI)
Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources (ROI)
Scottish Environmental Protection Agency ( Scotland )
Scottish Natural Heritage ( Scotland )
Historic Scotland ( Scotland )

CONSULTATION EVENT
In order to allow individuals/organisations to actively participate in this process and/or for individuals/organisations to gain an understanding of the process prior to submitting a response to the consultation, SEUPB has organised a facilitated workshop.
