NEW OPERATIONAL PROGRAMMES CONSULTATION

The Special EU Programmes Body, as Managing Authority for the current PEACE Programme and for INTERREG, has been asked by the Member States to conduct a public consultation process on issues emerging from the current INTERREG Programme that could impact on the preparation of a future European Territorial Cooperation Programme and on the future of the PEACE Programme.

This website gives you the opportunity to assist us in the preparation of the new PEACE programme, and the possible successor to INTERREG, which will be supported by European Union programme for Territorial Cooperation 2007-2013 in Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland and the western part of Scotland.

The site contains the Consultation Document which you can download from the link on the right-hand side of this page. We would like your views on the questions outlined in the document and any other comments by the 26th June 2006.

We have included information which may help you. You will find this information in the PEACE & INTERREG Programme Documents and the Policy Documents sections. If you have other documents or links which you think would help the consultation, please send details to us and we will place them on the website.

We intend to publish the responses you send us. Please tell us if you do not want us to publish your response. We will provide copies of un-published responses under Freedom of Information legislation.  You can read published responses in the Consultation Feedback section.  

You may like to hold your own consultation amongst members of your organisation before you collate their opinions and submit to us. We have produced a Consultation Toolkit to help you do this.

We are holding a series of public meetings across the region - the details of these meetings are in the Schedule of Consultation Meetings section. Please let us know if your organisation is organising a consultation about the new programmes. We will place details on the website. Also please feel free to use the power point presentation available under the Consultation Presentation section.
