SEUPB is a North South Implementation Body sponsored by the Department of Finance and Personnel in Northern Ireland and the Department of Finance in Ireland . It was established as an implementation body on 2 nd December 1999, under the Good Friday Agreement 1998 and the British Irish Agreement.
SEUPB reports to the North/South Ministerial Council.

The PEACE II Programme which began in 2000 and provided £456 million (€707 million) for projects has been extended to 2006 with an additional £120m (€160m) . The programme aims to help Northern Ireland become a more stable and prosperous society and to promote reconciliation in Northern Ireland and the border region of Ireland (Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Louth, Monaghan and Sligo ).

The INTERREG IIIA is a €182 million programme which addresses the economic and social disadvantages which can result from the existence of a border. It does this by promoting the creation of cross border networks involving and benefiting local communities. The Ireland/Northern Ireland INTERREG IIIA Programme covers all of Northern Ireland and the six border counties of Ireland.

Our headquarters are in Belfast . We have an office in Omagh which is primarily concerned with the PEACE Programme and an office in Monaghan which oversees the work of the INTERREG Programme and other Community initiatives.
