Equality Scheme

The SEUPB is committed to carrying out its functions with regard to the need to promote equality of opportunity as mandated in Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act (1988). This includes equality between people of different religious beliefs, political opinion, racial group, age, marital status or sexual orientation; between men and women generally, between persons with a disability and persons without, between persons with dependants and persons without.
The Act requires that we set out an Equality Scheme to show how we will fulfil the duties imposed by Section 75. Currently under development is SEUPB’s public statement of how we intend to meet our statutory duties.
